La Casa Rural Cortijo Roman is our traditional Andalucian farm surrounded by numerous flower-filled,
scented gardens and patios and set in nine hectares of wild-flower meadows.

Meadow in Spring
We have tastefully
restored and converted the extensive farm buildings into spacious self-contained accommodation,
preserving the genuine Andalucian style. The large
swimming pool is set in beautiful surroundings and you approach it from a rustic footbridge over
a stream.
The farm nestles at the end of a small valley close to the white, hillside town of Jimena de la
Frontera. From it, you can enjoy outstanding views of Jimena's impressive hilltop castle, which
is illuminated at night, and the white houses of the town clinging to the hillside below.

Beyond the town, the mountains of the Alcornocales Natural Park unfold into the distance. The Park
is famous for
its untouched habitat, abundance of wild flowers and many species of birds. You can walk into the
park from the Cortijo (farm) or drive west through the mountains and into its heart. Driving north
you join the famous Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos (White Towns Route) passing through many of the
scenic, hilltop Frontera (frontier) villages with their castles. The location of the Cortijo makes
it ideal for day trips to Seville, Cadiz, Jerez, Ronda or across the Straits of Gibraltar to Morocco.
Both the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts are less than an hour's drive south of
the Cortijo. There you can find a wide variety of water sports and other activities as well as
beautiful quiet coves and bays. You will have the choice of over twenty-five golf courses, various
aqua parks and other theme parks. And, within and hour's drive, you will find a wide selection
of restaurants, night life and the renowned shopping facilities of Marbella, Soto Grande and the Costa
del Sol
We have both two/three-person and four/five-person self-catering accommodation, so please have a look at the details
of the individual cottages and houses, and then contact us for further information. We will do our very
best to meet your specific needs.
